What is the Home Doctor?
The Home Doctor let's you choose a medicine, available from your local
pharmacist, to treat an illness or condition that you may have.
When to use the Home Doctor
When you are unwell with a minor ailment the local chemist is often the
first place you go to for advice and medicine.
Maybe you would like to select a medicine in the comfort of your own
home, make a note of it or print out the information and then go and
discuss it with the pharmacist.
Alternatively, you may want to review all the appropriate medicines
before you go to the chemist.
You may have previously chosen a medicine that isn't working for you
and you want to see what else is available.
You may just want to know more about your present medicine.
The Home Doctor lets you do this.
You simply enter your symptoms, (or choose from a list) and The Home
Doctor displays a list of possible medicines for you to consider.
Make a note of these - you could print them out.
Then go along and discuss the ones that you choose with the pharmacist.
The Home Doctor does not feature prescription medicines.
It does feature products that you can buy off the shelf and some products
the sale of which must be supervised by the pharmacist.
To reach information about a medicine
If you just want to look up a medicine without going through a list of
symptoms then you can do that too.
The manufacturers of some products have provided more information.
We are continually adding products and information as it comes in. If you
don't see what you want this time - keep looking.
And get well soon!
Remember
- Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
- Follow the advice on the patient leaflet and the

(medicines available only under the supervision of
a pharmacist). It also contains information from
manufacturers.
